The old warehouse managers in electronic factories have all experienced this kind of confusion: the chips were inspected and qualified when they were put into storage, but a batch of them were damaged on the production line; Looking around, there are no problems with materials, equipment, or personnel - the problem often lies in that particularly inconspicuous link: warehouse shelves. The real 'culprit' behind this is mostly static electricity.

1、 Where does static electricity in electronic factory warehouses come from?

Many people think static electricity is a winter phenomenon, but it's not. The electronic factory workshop maintains a constant temperature and humidity throughout the year, but the warehouse may not necessarily have it - rooms with air conditioning are already not high in humidity. In the dry months of August and September, as long as there are people walking around or cargo boxes pushing and pulling on the shelves, charges will quietly accumulate in the warehouse.

Electronic components themselves are also delicate, and when exposed to dozens of volts of static electricity, they may suffer hidden damage internally - which cannot be detected at the time, and only "inexplicably" fail on the production line. The book has no shadow, and once the yield drops, it becomes real gold and silver.

2、 Ordinary shelves have become accomplices instead

Generally, the surface of spray painted shelves is insulated, and the charges generated by the friction of workers pushing and pulling parts boxes accumulate more and more, which is equivalent to turning the entire warehouse into a "giant static battery". Once sensitive components come into contact, static electricity is instantly released, and the components are directly targeted.

So, in the warehouse of an electronics factory, it's not enough to just 'keep it tidy', it's also necessary to 'keep it safe'.

3、 Anti static shelves safely guide away 'invisible electricity'

There is not much difference in appearance between anti-static shelves and ordinary shelves, but the key lies in surface treatment and grounding: conductive treatment is applied to the shelves or columns to allow the charges generated by friction to flow; Lead the charge to the ground in a timely manner through the grounding wire. Combined with conventional static protection measures such as anti-static mats and static wristbands, the entire storage environment forms a whole that can 'discharge electricity'.

When choosing this type of shelf, focus on three aspects: first, the uniform and wear-resistant anti-static surface treatment; Secondly, whether the grounding device is complete and reliable; The third is that the shelves are flat and the load-bearing capacity is compliant - after all, no matter how light the electronic components are, storage and stocking also require neatness and efficiency.

4、 Choosing the right plan is more important than picking shelves

There are many types of electronic components, with varying sizes, weights, and moisture resistance requirements. It is difficult to achieve this in one step by simply selecting frames based on pictures. Finding a shelf manufacturer that can measure and provide CAD solutions on-site is often more convenient than "buying a set of standard shelves online".

Shibang shelving has been deeply rooted in the warehousing industry for many years, with a complete range of categories from lightweight shelves, medium-sized shelves to heavy-duty pallet shelves. For scenarios with special environmental requirements such as electronic factory warehouses and precision instrument warehouses, Shibang shelves can be configured with storage plans based on material properties and anti-static requirements. With on-site measurement and CAD drawing design, "invisible static electricity" can also be included in the plan.

The cost of an electronics factory is only one percentage point away from a profit of tens of thousands. Behind the "unprovoked" scrapping in the warehouse, it is often not metaphysics, but neglected details - shelves, static electricity, grounding, each of which is worth spending a little more effort to pick.
